I have items that were used by a vaudeviilian in his act. I wouldlike to learn more about the person who used them and their act but don't know where to look.
I have a trunk of magician stuff, silk scarves, red balls, wand, top hat and gloves etc. But the prize of the collection are very elegant crystal wine glasses which are all tuned differently. Do, Ra, Me, Fa, So, La, Te, Do.
I don't know much about the owner except that when the depression hit he used the glasses to pay his rent. There are a few things that made it into my family that way as my family were land owners. I beleive this particular vaudevillian was mostly unknown and liked by my grandmother who often took in those who could not pay the rent. She also fed the men who jumped on and off trains so he could have been from anywhere. Many gave her things they would later come back for- yes- she kept everything. It's hard to tell what belonged to my family and what belongs to others. Any help?
